tilde(チルダ)はFDM3Dプリンタによって作られるプロダクトシリーズです。編むように樹脂を溶かして積み重ねることで、樹脂でありながらも温かく柔らかな表情を作り出すことができる特殊な技法"編み重ね"を用い、熱溶解式3Dプリント技術における実用性・審美性・生産性を兼ね備える技術的極大点を追求します。通常3Dプリンタにおいて、積層された際に残る縞模様は嫌なものとして、できるだけ目立たないようにしたいと思われがちですが、そうするためには積層のピッチを小さくする必要があり、そのためには長い造形時間が必要になります。tildeは積層ピッチを敢えて大きくし、互い違いに積層することによって、積層自体をデザインに取り込むことに成功しました。これは造形時間を短くすることができることを意味し、まさにFDM3Dプリンタによる合理的なデザインと言えます。

Tilde is a series of products produced by FDM 3D printers. Using a special technique called ‘weaving layering’, where resin is melted and layered in the same way as weaving to create a warm and soft expression despite being made of resin, we pursue a technological maximum that combines practicality, aesthetics and productivity in thermal-melting 3D printing technology. The tilde is a 3D printer that uses a large stacking pitch, which requires a long build time, By stacking the layers in alternating directions, tilde has succeeded in incorporating the layers themselves into the design. This means that the build time can be shortened, which is a truly rational design with an FDM 3D printer.
