新工芸舎は、新工芸の趣意に基づき、専門分化/システム化の進んだ工業社会に対するオルタナティブとして、専門分野の再統合や素材との対話を通した工芸的制作態度の復権を標榜し、デジタル/アナログの垣根のない新しいものづくりの姿を構想、実践しています。特に樹脂は工業的な生産を象徴とする素材で、長らく量産を前提として扱われてきましたが、3Dプリンタの普及した社会では、限りなく工芸的な規模で扱える素材になりました。 3Dプリンタなどのデジタル工作機械が、モノの生産活動を個人的な営みへと還元しつつあるなかで、それらが育む新しい人間像や生き方の変化について考え、活動しています。

As an alternative to the highly specialized / systemized industrial society, ShinKogeisha advocates the re-integration of specialized fields and dialogue with craft materials, and envisions a new form of manufacturing without the boundaries of digital/analog. I'm practicing it. Resin in particular is a material that symbolizes industrial production, and has long been treated as a mass-produced material, but in a society where 3D printers have become widespread, it has become a material that can be handled on an infinite scale as a craft. As digital machine tools such as 3D printers are reducing the production of goods to personal pursuits, we are thinking about the new image of humanity and changes in the way of life that these tools will foster.
